UPEI, the voice of Europe’s independent fuel suppliers, has been successful in its application for membership of the European Commission’s Sustainable Transport Forum (STF). This forum was created by European Commission Decision of 23 April 2015 as an expert group on alternative fuels. The task of the STF is to assist the Commission in implementing the EU’s activities and programmes aimed at fostering the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure. UPEI is committed to playing an active and constructive role in the STF.
UPEI represents independent fuel suppliers who have a proven track record in the deployment of alternative fuels. Independent fuel suppliers were the first to bring biofuels onto the European market.
UPEI welcomes the possibility to contribute its technical expertise to the STF and to coordinate with member states and public and private stakeholders on the deployment of alternative fuels.
